The Floral Park Home & Garden Tour needs your talent and time! Each year, we need over 450 volunteers to help stage this amazing event. We have some unique and new volunteer opportunities to match your time constraints and abilities.
Docents:
Each home and garden on the Tour is staffed by volunteer Docents. Docents highlight our historic homes and gardens, guiding guests on the Tour, providing information and pointing out highlights of each home. Docents work a 3-hour block of time during the Tour and select their desired shifts online through our SignUpGenius web portal. Docents are provided with information describing Tour guest flow as well as highlights to point out to our guests for their assigned Docent location. Docents are provided with complimentary Tour admission to allow them to enjoy the Tour at their leisure. Although many of our Docents have volunteered for many years on the Tour, we always welcome new Docents – no experience is necessary!
Wine and Beer Garden:
We will be having a Wine and Beer Garden once again for our spring Home & Garden Tour. To run the Wine and Beer Garden properly and maintain the high standard that is expected from our Floral Park Home Tour, we are looking for candidates to work a 3-hour shift in the Wine Tent. A good disposition, a smiling face, and 3 hours of time are all that are needed!
- Shift Leaders – Interested candidates will need to complete the State of California TIPS Training Course.
- Wine Pourers – An opportunity to meet our visitors and help them relax and enjoy our beautiful Floral Park. We are looking for three, 3-hour shifts of 4 friendly, outgoing people.
Other Volunteer Opportunities:
Other volunteer opportunities are available. We also need Classic Car Show volunteers and volunteers to help with setup and takedown activities.
