The Opening Night Gala Celebration is our premier scholarship fundraising activity. This is an idea borrowed from the Haus and Garten Tour in German Village, Columbus, Ohio, where several devoted Floral Park residents relocated for work. This evening under the stars features premium wines, craft beer and cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, food, entertainment, and live and silent auctions. This year, the event will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at a lovely home in Floral Park with over 150 people in attendance.

2025 Opening Night Gala Entertainment
Our evening will feature entertainment by Island Inspirations, who brings the spirit of Polynesia to Southern California:
For over 20 years Island Inspirations has been bringing the spirit of Aloha to Southern California! The dancers of Island Inspirations are a collective group of award-winning artists who have performed professionally within the island of the Pacific and beyond. they have been featured on major motion pictures, commercials, print ads and music videos. These captivating dancers and performers will take you on a memorable journey through Polynesia to discover the magic and traditions of its legendary people. Discover traditional dances of Polynesian culture as they feature vibrant costumes and rhythmic music in celebration of the spirit of “Aloha”
2024 Opening Night Gala
Last year’s Opening Night Gala Celebration had a theme of “Old Hollywood” and was a wonderful and successful event, with record scholarship proceeds generated. Here are some photos submitted by attendees from last year’s event.
Auction items are graciously donated by people like you! Past items have included one-of-a-kind experiences such as a Newport Harbor Christmas Boat Parade evening, a weekend stay in Lake Arrowhead, a fishing trip on a private boat, a catered Churrascaria dinner, a pizza party, USC football tickets, gift certificates, and premium wine baskets.
